Dr. Carolyn Finnegan’s passion is to help her patients create health through treating the root cause of their symptoms and disease. She uses a “Whole Systems” approach of Functional Medicine where she educates patients on how to heal the whole person.
Dr. Carolyn Finnegan is a Chiropractor and a Certified Functional Medicine Doctor by the Institute of Functional Medicine. She has been in practice for 18 years.
After several years of successful practice as a Chiropractor, Dr. Finnegan realized that there was an increasing need for a more comprehensive type of medicine. Many of her patients were coming to the office in pain, but the cause was not only biomechanics, it was inflammation. She decided to focus not only on chiropractic, but also on creating optimal health by finding and treating the root cause of her patient’s symptoms.
Dr. Finnegan then began an intensive course of study (initially sparked by a quest to heal her own health issues) to learn Functional and Nutritional Medicine.
Dr. Carolyn Finnegan is a native of Oakland who attended Berkeley High School, UC Santa Cruz and San Francisco State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1998.
